SEO Services

Get Found on Google by People Who Are Ready to Buy

SEO services and local SEO for small businesses, from an SEO consultant who's kept his own business on page one of Google for years.

Most websites aren't invisible because Google dislikes them. They're invisible because they don't use the words customers type. I find those words, build your pages around them and fix whatever is holding your site back.

The big idea

The Words Your Customers Use

The most valuable thing I do in SEO usually isn't technical. It's noticing that a business and its customers are using different words.

A manufacturer

A site that never said "mouth coil"

Cresey Products makes them, and that's what every buyer searches. Their site used factory names like "Production Coils" instead. Their own retailers outranked them for their own product.

A party company

A homepage that never said "Buffalo"

Only "Western New York." Every search with "Buffalo" in it got zero clicks.

My own website

"Website Analysis & Review"

Nobody searches for that. "Website audit" gets 3,600 searches a month. (That's been fixed.)

Fixing this isn't a trick. It's listening to how people actually talk, then making sure your website talks the same way.

Burned before?

Why SEO Has a Bad Reputation

If you've been burned by an SEO company before, you're not alone. Plenty of business owners have paid for "SEO" month after month and never found out what they were actually paying for.

What gives SEO a bad name
The cold email that says your site has "47 critical errors," sent to thousands of businesses at once.
A monthly bill that just says "SEO services," with no list of what was done.
Reports full of charts and jargon that never answer the real question: is the phone ringing more?
Shortcuts like bought links, which can get a site penalized by Google.
Promises of "#1 on Google" that nobody can actually keep.
How I do it instead
Every month, a plain-English list of exactly what I did, page by page.
I keep a work log as I go, and your report is built from it. If it's not in the log, it's not on the report.
You own everything: your website, your Google accounts and your content.
I tell you what's working and what isn't, even when the honest answer is "not yet."
Only ethical, current techniques. No shortcuts that put your site at risk.
A big SEO agency once pitched me. I didn't mention that SEO is what I do for a living. The rep rescheduled our meeting without a word of apology, then made recommendations that showed he hadn't looked closely at my market. It was a good reminder of what small business owners are up against, and why I explain every step of my work.

AI search

Built for AI answers, too

Clear answers, real facts and named results: the things AI assistants quote.

Local SEO

Local SEO for Businesses That Serve an Area

If your customers are nearby, most of them will find you in the map results, not the regular listings. That's local SEO, and it has its own rules:

  • Your Google Business Profile, set up correctly and kept active
  • Pages for the towns and services you actually cover
  • Reviews, gathered the way Google allows
  • Your business details matching everywhere, so Google trusts them

That last one is easy to miss. When I started on LJ Hair Design, the salon's old address and old phone number were still listed on directory sites across the web. Every one of those mismatches chips away at how much Google trusts the business.

What's changing

Getting Found in AI Answers, Too

More people now ask ChatGPT or Google's AI answers instead of scrolling through search results. In my own keyword research this year, generic searches like "SEO company" dropped sharply from the year before. Local "near me" searches grew.

AI tools pull their answers from websites that clearly say who you are, what you do, where you do it and what results you've gotten. That's the same work good SEO has always required, done more carefully.

−70 to 95%Year-over-year drop in generic national searches like "SEO company"
+22 to 49%Year-over-year growth in local "near me" searches

Honest answer

SEO Takes Time. Here's What to Expect.

He's right. Most businesses see real movement in a few months, sometimes sooner in a less crowded market. I start with the quick wins (page titles, local listings, obvious gaps) so you're not waiting on everything at once.

And one honest warning: anyone who guarantees you a #1 ranking is guessing. Google itself says nobody can promise that. What I can promise is careful work, current techniques and a clear report on what's changing.

The process

How SEO Works With Me

1

I start with an audit.

Where you rank now, what's broken and where the opportunities are.

2

I build your keyword map.

Which words belong on which page.

3

I fix and rewrite.

Technical problems first, then the copy, page by page.

4

I report and adjust.

Every month, in plain English, with what changed and what's next.

FAQ

SEO Questions

Don't see yours? Ask me directly. I answer every message myself.

Contact Me
How long until I see results?

Usually a few months for real movement. Quick fixes like page titles and local listings can help sooner.

Do you guarantee a #1 ranking?

No, and be careful with anyone who does. I'll show you exactly what I'm doing and what's improving.

Do you buy links?

No. I use only ethical, current techniques. Bought links can get a site penalized.

My website is on Wix. Can you still help?

Yes. I do SEO on Wix sites as well as WordPress. If your site needs a rebuild, I'll tell you. If it doesn't, I won't push one.

Do I need to start a blog?

Not always. When a blog will help, I'll give you a plan for which topics to write about and why, so every post has a job.
